Myckel What ISP and what model of modem/router? Instructions usually can be found on your ISP website.

  • thanks everyone, I ended up removing the WP3 option again, but this time after removing the option, I reset all eeros again, and finally they were able to connect.  So as info for future cases, removing the WP3 only will not do, it will have to be reset so the WP3 off actually kicks in.

Kiran73 this is the norm with each new update you will see more improvement for all your devices.

  • WPA3 setting in beta apparently does more than enable WPA3 for devices that support it, it also blocks devices that don’t support it.  My HP printer (older OfficeJet 8600) could no longer connect when I turned it on.  So now it’s turned off.

Dntreid1819 I found I had the exact same problem with my HP envy 4500.  With WPA3 turned on, this device is unable to connect.

  • Would REALLY be nice to see how much bandwidth/data has been used by each device and on what.  My precious ASUS router would let me view usage by device/apps or by apps/device on a daily by hour basis, or weekly, or monthly summary.  I could see when my kids spent hours on YouTube during home schooling hours.  Eero shows nothing but current live activity.  Can’t figure out where all my usage is coming from when affinity tells me I’ve used over 1.2 TB of data for the month.  :-(

  • A second ssid  that can be used for IIT and have it separated from main ssid. There are literally thousands of us wanting this. Your competition has this and Wi-Fi 6 upgrades are not too far out. You will have a mutiny if you ignore us.

  • I wanted to let the beta people know that the Eero Labs suite (less the gaming/conference feature) killed connection to my HP printer. It could "see" the network, and I cut the speed to 2.4 on the app to try to let it connect, but it wouldn't. I had to print something right then, so I tried turning off the suite, and immediately it printed. I don't know which one of the new features is doing it, but if you want to know, I'll go back and turn it back on and find out. This is an OfficeJet 8600 with all updates.

  • Enabling WPA3 failed to work consistently across most of our devices, in all kinds of device categories. Some devices could no longer connect (e.g., a Kindle and an older iPad), some devices started seeing hand-off connectivity issues from beacon to beacon (Pixel phone with latest Android OS), and in some cases, when devices would wake up, I'd need to disconnect and reconnect to the network for the io internet to pick back up (particularly with laptops).

  • I have been testing local DNS caching.

I had issues with saved links to e.g. twitter accounts.

I also had issues being unable to log in to particular corporate planning systems over VPN using Chrome (but not when using IE). This issue resolved itself as soon as I switched the beta functionality off.

So I will not be using local DNS caching for the moment.

  • When using the local DNS caching all my devices were showing as offline. All devices were connected to the network. As soon as I turned off this feature they all appeared online again. Seems like a bug

  • Really like the band steering feature l, but I’m not seeing it actually work very well.  If I disconnect from the WiFi and then reconnect when standing near the Eero AP, then it connects on 5Ghz.  After waking further away it flips to 2.4 GHz (as somewhat expected). But as I walk even further away and near proximity of a second Eero AP, my WiFi session roams to the second AP, but it always connects to the second AP via 2.4 GHz, not 5Ghz (even if I’m standing right next to the second AP). The only way I can get the device to then connect to the second AP on 5Ghz is to turn my devices WiFi on/off.

I’m seeing this behavior on an iPhone XR

    • Jamiebro unfortunately, it’s up to your device to choose what AP to connect to and what frequency to use. eero can try and do workarounds (like band steering) to try and “motivate” your device to connect to an AP, but ultimately it’s up to the device (which in this case is your iPhone). Apple, and every other device vendor, has programmed the logic into their devices to decide what AP to connect to, and also when to roam to a different AP.

  • Reporting trouble with the wpa 3 configuration. I have a new Samsung S25G phone that will not connect when WPA 3 is enabled. Kicks both of our Samsung cell phones off the network stating password error.  When the feature is disabled the phone's reconnect with no problem.

  • Can we have app support to delete items from eero? In the case of sold or items I no longer have, it would be nice to clean up the app a bit and delete items that are no longer in the household.

  • This is awesome to be apart of beta testing on new improvements.

I think it is imperative to have the option of toggling bandwidths to easily set up devices that can only use 2.4ghz. Right now I have to use a work around and it’s frustrating to say the least.

  • Why can’t I choose the “beacon” I want to connect to? I’ve got devices connected across the house instead of the beacon closest & without the best connection.

  • The bandwidth optimization is great. An improvement will be to prioritize which devices are critical for bandwidth, so if quality suffers there's a lower probability of the critical devices suffering
