I've been experiencing a lot of buffering on my laptops, phones, and iPad. Before I was only experiencing this while streaming FuboTv shows, and occasionally a Netflix movie. I thought eero was supposed to rectify my connectivity problems.

SEAD Have you tried enabling "Optimize for Conferencing & Gaming" in eero Labs? This should help balance out the available bandwidth over devices on your network.

So I enabled band steering but my computer is still defaulting to 2g and on Zoom telling me my internet is unstable - my provider says there are no problems - is there any possibility to make sure my computer connects to 5g? Before I purchased my eero my computer stayed at 5g.

Lizzykat You might need to move the eero node closer to your computer. If your computer has an ethernet port, it would be best to wire it in to an eero node to rule out the wireless on the computer entirely. I have done this for gaming PCs in the past and it makes a huge difference. If coverage is already limited, consider purchasing an additional eero to fill in the weak spot (and wire in your computer to).

After switching on the Beta feature “WPA3”, my HP printer did not work.   Switching the feature off solved the problem.

Velile Add HP printer to device then get new code from HP.  This is the only way I  was able to  connect online then print.

WPA3 was working fine before the latest firmware update, seems as if after the update multiple devices would continue to drop off and reconnect to the network. All of my Nest devices seem to be affected the most by this.

Where is the option "Smart Queue Management"? It seems to be the closest thing to an option of not letting one device hog all of the bandwidth.

Kdstew3 Under the "Discover" tab in the eero app. It has now been renamed to "Optimize for Conferencing and Gaming".

So my wireless printer was working fine and today no matter what I do it will not print. It shows that it’s connected to the network and the troubleshooter cannot find any problems and I restarted it and rebooted it and added it back to the network. So why does this happen? Then it disconnects to the network. No problems before  I bought my eero.

Lunakorat  - How would changing the password to my network affect connectivity? It has always stayed connected before I purchased my eero - just like my computer always stayed at 5g and now most often connects at 2.5.  It is frustrating and I don't think I will recommend eero to my friends - I might suggest they try a different mesh system since my internet provider has upgraded in my area which hopefully will help the Zoom connectivity issues. I want to love my new eero...and I have only had problems since I bought it.

Lizzykat Lunakorat - So even though I wrote all that I did (out of frustration from the time it takes to correct things that were not malfunctioning before) I will try your suggestion and see if  there is any drop off if I can get it to print! Thanks

Lizzykat Lizzykat I’ve had nothing but bother Thai afternoon with mine and managed to get to the bottom of it, I have had to disabled the WPA3 in the labs. Try this

Lunakorat using special characters like that in your password won’t help anything—and actually might cause problems with some devices.

Lizzykat definitely turn off anything in Labs if you have previously enabled. WPA3 and band steering are the most common settings that cause issues with printers.

Lizzykat if you downloaded the app for EERO, go to settings, set up name of name of your device you can make it any name.  Then set up a new password.  EERO will send you a code to confirm that your device is set up correctly.

I had a similar issue with a printer check if you have WPA3 enabled under Discover/eero Labs. Turning off WPA3 resolved my printer connection issue.

Turning on WPA3 kicks an iPad 2 and will not allow it to reconnect even though it is setup to use WPA2.

I'm constantly experiencing problems streaming my television programs over FuboTv and Hulu [error code P-DEV320, Error ID: player -2-6d27509F) .  I loss my programs yet the eero speed test tells me everything is running at optimal speeds.

I'm currently trying out the band steering feature will there be an update that shows you which devices are being steered to the 5G connection

TSchenck Any devices that have been seen using 5Ghz will be added to the list. Unless you have a stationary device right on the edge of the network coverage then maybe it will not make the Band Steering list.
