    Should have went to Mediacom it’s 99.999% better I knew better always have had trouble with this service

    When you run a speed test, you don't do this using the eero app.

    The closer the speed test server the faster the results.

    So, it's not eero slowing down internet speeds.

    You need to plug an ethernet cable directly into your isp router to test your speeds. 

    But a true speed test is opening multiple sessions on your computer, download a large file, and calculate the time it takes to download the file.

    I need wpa3 to still enable all other older wpa security protocol for some reason enabling this disables a lot of devices connecting to the network, please make this backwards compatible!

    When WPA3 is turned on, Chamberlain Smart Garage Hub won’t connect. I verified this multiple times by just toggling the WPA3 in the beta labs on and off and it drops once it’s turned on and reconnects when it’s turned off

      The eero like every mesh wireless product out there cannot reduce the speeds of your internet connection.  It's technically impossible.

      Please stop posting false information.

      I have 3 separate networks and have absolutely no issues. Different ISPs as well.

      Call support to have them check your installation.

      Sdworman  ever since I have used eero my internet has slowed it is pinging a plus nine, I would know it has slowed my internet down if it hadn’t I would not be wasting my time trying to fix it

      Your internet is provided by your ISP.  Eero doesn't change anything on that since it's completely separate.

      If your WiFi has slowed down, then this is most likely what you mean.

      I would try the following.

      Unplug all your eeros including the gateway.

      Plug your laptop directly into the ethernet port of the ISP modem.

      Your laptop will get an ip from the modem directly.

       

      Once connected, surf and do a speedtest.

      This is just to make sure your isp speeds are what you expect.

      Now, unplug your laptop from the modem.  Plug the eero Gateway back into modem.

      Once the gateway comes back online check your wifi connection on your laptop.  

      If this is slow for you, then the gateway could be faulty.  If not, connect the next eero and repeat.

      This is simple troubleshooting.

      Also, eero support is fantastic and will assist in additional steps as needed.

      Make sure all beta features are turned off on the app.  Check to make sure the DNS eero is using is the ISP DNS.

      peterconnor66 ping is not a great troubleshooting command.  Most isps will drop packets since it is not prioritized.  Also, pings over Wifi are more prone to drop the packets due to interference of signals.  Make sure the ethernet cable that connects to your gateway is good.  Also, do you have a switch on the network as well?  Lastly, are you pinging internally or externally?  You also should send you ping capture to eero to look at this further.

      Sdworman don’t buy a new car when it breaks down the mechanic tells you to fix it. Eero are the cause of the problem, I had no problem with BT or sky router the ping was at 2 max 3 with them

    Hi, i have 3 devices that consistently goes offline e when I enable the WPA3. Is there a way to utilize this and also keep the those 3 online? Thank you.

      nikib turn off wpa3.  This is still under development with eero.  Also, your devices may not even support this.

    Can we actually get some new features in the app? It's been literally years for features beyond bug fixes.

    - tool to detect node signal strength for locations / placement assistance

    - ability to filter/sort the device list. We need to find devices by MAC address to ID them, for example. This is a very common need. This honestly would be a week's work worst case for a junior dev.

    - give a prompt when a device is joining the network for the first time to approve or block. Use case is the iphone private mode IPs. I want to have the owner disable private mode on their phone, not allow them to constantly look like new devices on the eero and jump outside of their assigned profiles.

    You guys are owned by Amazon now. Frontier is reselling your devices  You should have the funding to blast part competitor feature sets.

      CodeGrue eero ap placement is already built into the app.  look up the mac address using mac address lookup.  Your feedback here needs to be sent to CS not on this forum.  EERO does not review this site.  This is a user community.  As for your suggestions, this is not a priority for EERO since this is not something typically supported in home networks.  Most home users just want to connect to the internet.  Most home users do not know these features could exist.  So the need is not going to see development anytime soon.  Granted other vendors may have some of these features, but it's not something most users are seeking..  You want a firewall, then buy one and add this to your network.

      Sdworman most home users want a decent speed that dose not ping at 1000 (lag) as I said before since using eero this is what is happening to my internet, it did not happen when using my BT router

      peterconnor66 contact cs.  Ping is to check connectivity of a device.  You don't use it to check speeds.  I don't even know the brands you mention.

      Contact cs and work this out.  There is something wrong with your setup.

       

      As I've mentioned I have 3 separate networks setup with separate houses.  None have any speed issues.
