PS4 Pro wifi problems w Eero? ...
Anyone else run into problems with these together?
We have a Pro and 3 beacons, the PS4 is within 15 feet of the Pro gateway and a beacon. Wifi signal strength is very good in this room. No issues w previous NetGear router and same modem.
Since I switched to Eero a few weeks ago every time my son turns the PS4 on it asks him for a WiFi connection and he has to reconnect. And the speeds are super slow. It's not uncommon for him to see 30gb down while a device 5 feet away is getting 150gb down.
(I've bounced the modem and all Eero devices)
Any ideas? Thanks!

I think this may be related to the "wifi stack" in the ps4 also. I am pondering getting another EERO PRO and putting it in the office and doing a wired connection to the PS4 and let the office pro connect wirelessly to the network.

This is a 3.18 and 3.19 firmware issue that needs to be resolved on eero's end.

Thanks kid for confirming! Will just have to wait...

So I'm not good with this stuff at all, I know how to set it up my ps4 for the most part, but I just learned what a DNS is and how to get to the google server. If I'm even saying that right haha. After the last update, I couldn't connect to Wi-Fi, and had to go with LAN. But then even that wouldnt work anymore... Not sure why. I tried going back and forth from 2.4 to 5ghz, resetting, all sorts of stuff. I did get it to finally work, after i deleted my password for my Wi-Fi. Not sure why that had an issue connecting. But it works. Just pretty slow with 18mbps and 2.9mbps.

This is a known NAT issue that has arisen in the latest Eero update. A temporary fix is to port forward all ports needed for the PlayStation network.

Ok can someone please explain what to do in layman’s terms? How do I port and what do I port?

Thank you!! That worked!! Should I hold my breath for an update from eero?

I just recently ran into this issue also. Specifically my PS4 won't auto connect to the WIFI network anymore. This started happening right after I port forwarded the ports needed for my XBOX to have a better connection the EERO. This is definitely frustrating!

I was able to fix the issue of my PS4 not auto connecting. What I did was restart the EERO, but not from the app. I used the button on the back of the gateway EERO, pressed it for 7 seconds, then let go. After that, my PS4 is now sucessfully connecting to the network.

Well. Sad to say but the issue has now returned. PS4 Pro will connect to 5ghz but will not maintain its connection in rest mode. In order to reconnect I have to run the internet connection test upon start up every single time. Anyone else having a similar issue?

I’m still having issues after setting up the portforward. Can someone confirm the ports that need to be forwarded for the PS4 Standard?
any update on when the update from eero will be released?

Thanks, I just checked and uPNP has been on since the beginning...

Any recent updates to this problem. My son is ready to sell his PS4 because it boots him off the network (since our recent addition of Eero, based on recommendation from Rogers because of lagging and dead zone wifi issues). He's now playing fine with the PS4 directly wired to the Eero -- but he's in my living room. Hoping to get him back onto wifi without having to relocate modem.

I had this issue and fixed it by turning off the UnPnP setting. 🤷♂️
