Had this for two months. Not impressed with Optic cable at all. Think I might go back to broadband.

Juan - eero has nothing to do with your cable.  Eero is convenience as is all wireless.

Juan - probably a promo.  You can still use the Eero with any isp..  Pretty sure it's all yours now..

I have the DNS cache turned on, and couldn't find a way to flush it (I updated a DNS entry and wasn't seeing the IP change locally). It would be great if there was a button somewhere in the settings to flush the DNS cache, which could be helpful even as a troubleshooting step.

Eero somehow blocks wifi enabled printer. Anyone else experience this?

Wpa3 seems to be a common issue if it's enabled.

Don't need this encryption turned on as it's beta.

Jessica Marie Garcia I can only provide advice for what to do in regards to the eero. You can hard reset your eeros, create a new eero app account, and recreate the network on that new account. For the other issues, you may want to contact your bank and other applicable companies to regain control of those assets.

I used to turn on the beta features. Now I have all of them off since one of them or all of them make fire tv lose internet connection. Fire tv stays connecting to eero but without internet. Many people have the same issue. After I turned all the beta features off, I don’t have the issue anymore.

Any idea on how to get my eero 6 to be recognised in either the Tuya or Smart life apps as a zigbee gateway? Alexa can see devices through those apps - but the devices won't load without the eero being present / visable first. Is there a way of putting the eero into a pairing mode?

Running into issues with low bandwidth Smart Home devices that just plain perform better on 2.4 bands.  Several are not WPA3 enabled even though they are dual band. There are not wi-Fi updates available for these devices. They work well when the 5.0 is disabled, but cannot reach the IoT hubs when connected to 5.0GHz radio.. I was able to find a way to limit the 5.0 side to WPA2 on the eero 6, but it would be better to be able to limit some devices to the 2.4 side for better security and longer connected range/strength with low data throughput

My Eero system does a great job. Could we get a feature allowing to manually force a device to one Eero Pro device for the next 10 minutes or so? If I relocate my laptop it’s sometimes slow to pick that up. I could just tell it where I’ve moved to, and go ahead and get the bandwidth I need for my in progress video call (for example).

I want the ability to choose if my phone, pc, whatever connects to the 5ghz or 2.4. I don't want you to choose for me.  Not being able to choose is very frustrating. Not being able to prioritize a device is also nonsense.

Hi, as my hp printer doesn‘t work on wpa3 - could you make it possible to let one device manually on wpa2 - all the other once automatically use wpa3?

Had all three turned on. Not sure which one cause the iss with the MyQ garage door open. But anytime on my Wi-Fi network it would not communicate to open or close garage door. The profile for the open show it was WPA3.  But I could not send the command unless I was on the cellular network.

Very disappointed with eero pro 6 i just installed. I would have liked a desktop/laptop management interface. I guess eero didn't think that was necessary since there is almost no management control over the device/network anyway. This thing a basically a wide open, unsecured, POS (IMHO). I'm returning it and getting something better.

Most if not all of the mesh wifi use an app to manage the device.

It would be helpful to explain the issues you have with the eero.  This community can help.

Sdworman : Some of the issues I have with the eero:  1) I would start with how is the phone app management interface being secured? On my old router i could lock down management to a hard wired port on the router and prevent remote/wireless access. 2) I could configure the old router to deny all connections and only allow a whitelist of devices by MAC address. 3) On the eero there's no way to configure a particular device connection to a certain band and/or encryption to resolve connection/performance issues. Also there's no way to see how a device is actually connected to the network. These are just acouple issues i have with the eero. Any thoughts or insights? Am i missing something? -G

G-stow You are correct.  The eero platform cannot provide the level of mgmt security you seek.  I would be curious to learn if a home mesh offering does exist.  It's a great point.  As for the MAC filtering, eero allows the client to connect, but then you need to block this form the network.  I am pretty sure this was designed for simplicity for a typical home user.  You are really looking for a place where you can allow what you want first, which is something typical of a enterprise router or hardwire router for the home with a built in firewall.  This is not eero...

Also, if you want particular devices to use 2.4 or 5.0 specifically, you would need to do this on the client side.  Some clients allow you to chose the band..

Perhaps, this all will come in time with eero.  However, the mesh system works very well.  HTH....

I realize that this could be a factor of the Wi-Fi device but when I enable WPA3 I have a device that will drop its connection and will not reconnect.
