I realize that this could be a factor of the Wi-Fi device but when I enable WPA3 I have a device that will drop its connection and will not reconnect.

Great bit of kit but now I can't get connected to the Internet. Keeps asking for"network security key".

Is this security thing like a VPN? How is this making me more secure? i would like to see instructions and what having these things on does!

I'm not sure where to post this so I'll copy and paste it a couple places.
So I have a few ideas to help make eeros much better for the customers. First off I would like to see a way to force certain devises to only use certain eeros. Here's what I mean by that. I've got a lot of smart plugs and other devises that really don't need all that fast of internet so I would like them to be forced to only use my bedroom eero and not my main living room eero as it is the bigger eero 6 model so it has much faster wireless speeds. I only want my gaming devices and maybe TV on that one and the rest on the other eero. Which brings me to my second thing which kinda ties into that. I want to be able to dedicate speeds or to kinda throttle my TV and other devices so it doesn't take as much bandwidth away from my gaming devices. Now I know in your labs you kinda started to do that but it's all automatic. I want to personally dedicate each device it's own amount of bandwidth like certain other higher end gaming routers have the ability to do. I highly think this would be a huge benefit for gamers like myself. Even with my 1 gig internet service I still experience issues with these other devices all being connected to the same eero as my gaming system even with a wired ethernet cable being used. If I could get all these other devices on my slower eero I don't think I would be experiencing as many issues. I have found kinda a trick to get most of those other things off it however if anyone else is experiencing the same issues. I unplug my main eero 6 for a few seconds so everything transfers over to the other one then plug it back in which works most of the time to get most of the other devices off my main eero but that's a huge pain every time I go to play some games.

Thank you for your input in this matter.

When I have local DNS caching turned on it takes forever for websites to load even after 48 hours of using it on the same websites I've used previously and also there is a problem with some websites which will time out and not work.

How about adding away to setting up VPN on the gateway for the WHOLE house and then have the option to opt out any devices from using the VPN on the gateway.

I would like a fairly simple explanation of how a VPN passthrough works and how to setup a passthrough. I have an Xfinity Gateway (modem/router) ahead of my eero 6 mesh router. Because of that setup, I have 2 WiFi networks. I’m currently using Encrypt.me VPN as I recently purchased eero Secure+ at a 50% discount. I have the Encrypt.me app on 2 iPhones (SE 2nd generation/2020) and my Dell desktop computer—all seems to be working well but could I be doing more with a VPN passthrough? Much of this technology is over my head!! Thanks for any help.

Yea, I was showing high speed download and uploads but it has started to slow down and buffer for the first time in a week. I just started using Eero 6 Pro. I was very happy that it had stopped buffering. Today it started buffering. Has anyone else had this problem with the new

Has anyone else’s speed started to slow down and buffer after having the new Eero 6 Pro for about a week? I also would like to know which modem will give me the best speed and is acceptable with Mediacom Xstream?

So I am assuming my eeros updated to the beta version which allowed the wpa3 to be tested. I ended up power cycling all of my pods and everything connected again except for a surface pro 3.
A suggestion for doing sleep schedules. It would be easier to do a sleep schedule based upon each individual device versus just a profile. In order to do sleep schedule I had to create several more profiles for each of my kids so some things would have access but some things would not. I have kids of different ages and they all don't fall in the same category for amount of time or usage they need.
I'm still working on another issue of my wife complaining with her Apple phone is slower than on regular 5G through our carrier. I'll fiddle around with that a little bit more and see if I can figure something out.

Turning on WPA3 caused my Wemo dimmer (second generation) to disconnect from my wireless network. I tried to remove them and re-add them to the Wemo app as well as to the Home app and they would not connect to the network. Turning off WPA3 allowed them to reconnect again.

I would like to be able to select prioritisation of bandwidth at a device level. Not related to the software but would like to have an eero with mor Ethernet ports.

Enabling WPA on my Eero 6 stops myVOCOlinc SmartBar Wi-Fi Plugs (VP5X) unable to connect to my network.

1st off… why can’t I send feedback directly from the app? I had to make a whole new account just to send feedback about how I had to change all of my network settings just to get my stupid coffee maker to connect to the internet.
seriously, why does my keurig have to have a million different settings for it when everything else connects (mostly) using the default settings,
having to find the troubleshooting tab to get the wifi in 2.4 only mode is also super stupid. I just want my devices to connect when I’m setting them up.
terrible design and why is it overly complicated?

The WPA3 toggle was on and it took a call to support to find it was the reason why printers using WPA2 were failing to connect. Surely this toggle shouldn't be designed to impact old devices? It was a consumer network owned by an elderly relative whose printer stopped working so of course it created a big problem. As it was in the beta developer section of the App I didn't looking in there until support suggested. It would be better to leave such beta features off by default.
