My Eero unit iverheating and stops working

I purchased my 3 set Eero from Best Buy less than a year ago and it was working fine until the last month. One of the three units (not the main one) stopped working and when i looked at it...it was extremely hot at the base of the unit. I gave enough ventillation and it still heats up. I unplug and plug it alk the time...it stops wirking as soon as it heats up. Its just been a disaster. I looked at this thread and have called the helpdesk as suggested by the Eero customet rep. I have been on hold for 20 mins now and still no sign of help!!!!!

Eero needs to realize that this coukd be a design flaw and address it immediately!!!

Oh man.   I just bought a 2 pack yesterday and both feel warm but not hot.   Is this something I have to look forward to?

I would give credit to Eero customer service....after waiting in the phone for 20 mins i finally spoke to a rep and he is shipping me a new replacement one and i would have to return the defective one that's heating.....i wish they would find a solution to this issue...but kudos to Eero for replacing it.

Hi, ramurthy1 – Thanks so much for taking the time to share your concerns here with us. For a little more info, it's absolutely normal for the eeros to operate warm to the touch, much like a laptop, game console or other consumer electronic device.

That said. this situation definitely doesn't sound typical, so I'm glad you were able to get in touch with my colleague and we were able to get that replacement arranged for you!

In the future, for any immediate concerns you have with the physical condition of your eero units, we encourage you to call us directly at 877-659-2347 so that we can assist immediately! Thanks again so much for being a valuable member of our Community, and we hope you have a great day!

      Kindly,
      Drew, eero Community Team

ramurthy1 Glad to hear eero support took care of you so quickly. Your issue is a rare occurrence. Any type of hardware can go bad—even right out of the box. This is definitely not a common nor widespread issue with eero devices.

Chi7 It’s perfectly normal for the eero to feel pretty warm when it’s running.

cMoo92 thank you.  Yeah it’s warm but nothing I think I should worry about.
