5GHz much slower than 2.4GHz

In 2.4GHz mode performance is great (up to 200MBit up/down). As soon as my devices (Android Smartphone, Thinkpad X1 Yoga) change into 5GHz mode (due to a 5GHz preference, I guess), performance reduces to less than 10MBit in both directions. As no manual change or permanent deactivation of 5GHz mode is possible, I wonder, how I can solve this problem.

    Hello,

I have seen this behavior before when the network is running eeros with different firmware versions. You can verify if this is the cause of your issue by checking for software updates in the eero app. Goto Settings -> Software Updates.

After verifying that the firmware is updated, if you are still experiencing slow 5GHz speeds you can try a soft reset of the Gateway eero. The link below will walk you through the steps of performing a soft reset.
