Bonjour Sleep Proxy

I can imagine a lot of people have chosen Eero to replace Apple AirPort Extreme units, this is likely to increase now that apparently Apple are discontinuing their Airport base stations.

One less well known feature of the AirPort base stations is that they include an automatic Bonjour Sleep Proxy. See https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201960

Perhaps Eero could also take over this role as well.

  • Apple TV's act as a Bonjour sleep proxy as well... When I moved to Eero from the APX, it still worked (of course you have to have one)

Yes but this presumes you have an Apple TV. Also I have found the Apple TV less reliable at doing this function. (ATV3)
