Can I force a device to use 5GHz and/or a specific eero?

Hi.  Our xbox one is sitting right next to an eero (that is connected via wifi), yet it (the xbox) often connects via 2.4 to an eero in another room/floor of our house.  Is it possible the eero next to it is too close and causes interference and it therefore doesn't connect to it?  I watch hulu live through the xbox and the quality is often degraded, and each time it's degraded and I check the eero app, it's because the xbox is on 2.4 and another room.  I'd like to force it to always connect via 5GHz (and preferably via the eero right next to it).

If I can't do that, I could connect via ethernet but I had issues with that (I'll make a separate post about that).

    Hi  john1r —

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear the trouble you are having with your Xbox.

At this time, forcing a connection to the 2.4 or 5 GHz band isn't possible. However, we should definitely take a look into what is going on so that you can get the most out of your home WiFi and a smooth streaming experience.

If you haven't yet, please feel free to give us a call at 1-877-659-2347 or email us at support@eero.com . We'll be happy to get this resolved!
