Eero Pro 6 and Apple HomeKit
Will the new Eero Pro 6 support Apple’s HomeKit in the future?

The Eero 6 routers. Does not support Homekit like the previous eero devices. Don't know why. I'm honestly upset about it because I have the Eero pro and replaced it with the new Eero 6. To find out it's not homekit is really upsetting. I spoke with an eero support member. He told me that it would support HomeKit, which was not true. I hope they make it support Homekit. Now I'm stuck with two "no response" router on my homekit and I can't delete.

So at this point, I feel duped but it's my fault because I wasn't careful enough to read through all the marketing between the 'erro pro' and 'erro 6 pro'. I have a 2,800 sqft home. The 'erro 6 pro' does a great job providing wifi through the house without needing to buy a second device. However, is it worth downgrading to an erro pro or just wait for an update that may never happen? Thoughts?

Over the holiday break, I decided to reset all my HomeKit accessories on my network and enable HomeKit on my main Gateway Eero Pro. I have 3 Eero Pros and 1 Eero Beacon (running eeroOS 6.1.0). Everything was set up and running fine last night. I added all my Phillips Hue and Lutron lights and switches and tested them before going to bed. This morning I get up and open my Home app on my iPhone 12 (running iOS 14.3) and MacBook Pro (running macOS Big Sur 11.1) only to see "No Response" for all my eero devices.
Anyone know how to fix this issue?
I would really appreciate any ideas or insights

Here's the reply I received from Eero Support this afternoon:
"Hello,
Thank you for emailing to us with your concern.
As of now, we are currently working with Apple to receive the license to have ties with our latest firmware updates to the eero devices. The HomeKit section in the eero app may have been removed with any recent app updates as well.
Once HomeKit is available again, we send out a newsletter/ email to our users. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
if you have any other inquiries or concerns, feel free to let us know.
eero Support"
Guess this means: "Don't use this now. We'll tell you when you can try again."

I was communicating with Customer Support on another issue back on 03/08/21 and inquired about an ETA on HomeKit compatibility for the eero 6 . Unfortunately their response was "As for Homekit, unfortunately I don't have any updates for you about that. eero will update users about that when there is more information."

I have found since upgrading to eero pro 6, I can not longer add homekit devices to my network. I follow the process and scan the code and it tells me I can’t add the device. I had a light that was on the network and I deleted it and tried to reinstall it and now nothing... I can’t add it.
eero told me there was a problem that they were working with Apple on.
I would really like to get this resolved but no time horizon...

I tried your suggestion and I think the problem is more complicated. I set the eero to only 2.4 Ghz and reconnected the iPhone. Then I tried to add the device to my HomeKit and it came up with the correct device name, but then when I tapped it to add it, it said I needed to connect the phone to my HomeKit compatible router and the popup window disappear. It would seem that I can't add it until eero and Apple do whatever is needed to get this router HomeKit compatible.

Hey all- I'm struggling mightily to get eero Pro to connect with HomeKit. I've got an updated ipad (3) set as home hub (including Keychain active and 2FA). I click through eero (latest iOS version) from ...Discover>Apple HomeKit>. Then I go through ...Set up HomeKit>Open Home Hub. From Home Hub>Add Accessory... I choose, "I don't have a code or cannot scan." Home Hub can see the eero pro, and when I tap to add it, I get this message:
This accessory could not be added using this app. Try adding from the accessory manufacturer's app."ARGH! Do I need to scan the eero? Are there any other settings I should check?
Thanks for any advice you can give.
