Eero automatically puts my chromecast ultra on 2.4 Ghz band

I currently stream games on Google Stadia (streamed to the Chromecast Ultra), which requires a 35 mbps speed. My Chromecast ultra is always connected to the 2.4 Ghz Band. I've contacted google support and they could not do anything, since most routers allow you to set up networks with specific bands, and Chromecast does not have a setting on choosing the band.

Can someone tell me how to configure eero so i automatically join the 5 ghz? does the eero 6 give the option to set up networks with specific bands?

No, you can’t specify which band your Chromecast uses. It’s up to the Chromecast to decide which one to use. 2.4Ghz will have no issues doing speeds well above 35Mbps so if you’re not getting fast enough speeds, something else is going on. Your Chromecast may not be getting a strong enough signal (which is also likely why it’s using the 2.4Ghz band). I’d suggest trying to locate your Chromecast to a better spot. It’s probably currently directly behind your TV which is like a giant shield against any kind of wireless signal.
