Eero 6 and Arlo cameras
I have a 3 unit Eero 6 setup and to date everything has been working fine however...
I have in the last few days had a Verisure alarm system installed which includes 2 Arlo Essential cameras and an Arlo video doorbell. When they are working they are great but I have had several occasions where the cameras have appeared to be offline in the Arlo app but show as online in the Eero app.
This means that I have effectively not got any cameras working because in order to get them back online Arlo are suggesting I need to get Verisure to remove them and readd them. They seem to get knocked offline when I rebooted the Eero main unit. TArlo are alsosaying I need to set up 3 specifically open ports for each device on the router and temporarily suspend the 5Ghz ban while connecting them, This is a non workable solution if I have to do this every time I reboot the Eero.
I have also been unable to add an Arlo chime 2 to the doorbell because they are not syncing.
I suspect the problem is due to everything needing 2.4Ghz and the Eeros pushing out 2.4 and 5 and confusing the heck out of the Arlo devices.
Does anybody have similar issues or able to offer any suggestions how to resolve this? I would prefer not to cancel my alarm contract but at the moment without the cameras it is rather pointless..

Hi! Hope you are doing well. Did you figure this out?

In the end I sent the Arlo cameras back and opted for Blink which works just fine

Thanks! I appreciate the response. I think I want the arlo cameras - especially for the 4k feed. Would you still go with the eero if you had the option to buy it again (knowing what you know now). I am contemplating buying an eero pro 6 and may opt to buy a TP Link X90 instead.

The eero hub is great. I have the three piece set and they spread my wifi around the house very well. If I didn't have them there is no way I could get cameras where I need them. I think the problem was with the Arlo cams rather than the eero mesh. The blink cams have worked with eero fine. I have kept the arlo doorbell and that is working with no problems as well. It was just the arlo essentials cameras that kept dropping out.
