Blocked Devices Accessing Network

I have a newly installed Eero 6 Pro and it is working great, including HomeKit, but there was a device on my network that I did not recognize so I blocked it.  It is still accessing the network at 2:38 AM, and occasionally at other times.  It says the manufacturer is "Private" and the host name is "none".  I have no idea what this device is or how it is accessing the network while blocked.

  • Hello norshoco ,

Check the article I have linked below and let me know if this is the process you followed.

Edit: One other step you can take is to change the password on your network.

  • James,  Thank you for the response.  I had already blocked the unknown device as detailed in your link and it shows up in a separate grouping called "blocked.  Per your suggestion I have changed the password and also turned off the Amazon "Frustration Free Setup" option to stop the password from being shared with Amazon.  I will let you know if this device still accesses my network tomorrow in the early hours.

  • James,  Just to follow up.  Since changing my password, and not sharing the new password with Amazon, the unknown device has not accessed my network for 3 days.
