Is there an Eero Plus guide?

I’m on the trial period for the Eero Plus and it looks promising, probably going to susbscribe to it since the cost alone seems worth it.    However, regarding the eero features and not the 3rd party built in apps, is there a guide on it?  I see threats blocked, etc but it doesn’t give me any other useful info in “this weeks activity” or when I tap on a particular day.    Am I missing something or is this how the app features are intended?

You aren't going to be able to see details such as what the threat actually was (like what the URL was, etc). You can only filter down to the category of security block, and see what devices on your network had blocks on them--but nothing more.

Hi, Chi7 – Thanks for posting, and great question! We have a pretty comprehensive overview of eero Plus on our Help Center, available here. Please take a look, and let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. You can also give us a ring at 877-659-2347 and we'd be happy to go over the features with you directly!

    Kindly,
    Drew, eero Community Team

    Hi Drew
Even with the information you linked to, there doesn't seem to be more information to find out more about the specific threat that was blocked.
I see these ominous malware, phishing, spyware, botnet categories, but I'd like to get a better idea about what exactly is going on and triggering those!

Also how do you analyze traffic if most of the traffic these days is over secured connections from the device to whatever the request target is?

    Thank you

tb123 eero doesn't log your DNS requests for privacy reasons, which is why they can't show you what the specific threat was. I also don't specifically know how they are analyzing, but I know they use Zscaler for the traffic filtering and I'm 99.99999% sure that it's DNS based filtering, which means that it filters based on white/black lists the Zscaler maintains to check the domain name address your device is requesting and either allowing it or blocking it. At my employer where I manage the IT, I use Cisco's Umbrella product which does the same thing.
