Subscription price increase

After contacting support, I was invited to bring this up on the community forum: This is the email that I sent:

I am writing in response to the email I received this morning with the information of the transition of the basic subscription to your premium product. This new tier touts products and services we will not use or need (Ie. Malwarbytes is an inferior antivirus for Mac OS, Password Manager duplicates products we already use, as does the hotspot). With this you offer to almost DOUBLE our rate for the first year and over TRIPLE our current rate for following years!

I am not sure how you can justify these increases in the name of ‘simplicity’.

Nice email.  Whatever the higher tier had I had decided originally it didn't fit what I need.  Do you pay for undercarriage rust protection at a car dealership when they turn up the negotiation heat?  Do you buy all insurance levels like volcano insurance and umbrella insurance because it fully covers/protects the most but costs the most and no volcano nearby?  Now that this choice is forced on me and I get the privilege of paying for my arm being twisted, I'll be dropping eero.  The equipment goes in the trash when my 30$ for a year sub expires.  This was a trash move on their part and my actions will reflect that.  Thanks eero, it was good until it wasn't.
