PC with static IP

Just setting up my new eero and I am stumped by this - I have a hardwired htpc that must have a static IP. It sees the LAN but will not connect to the internet. How do I enable only this one machine with a static IP?

Sounds like you’re manually setting the IP address on the HTPC (that’s normally what “static IP” refers to).. I would recommend you not do this. Instead, set it to use DHCP so that eero will assign it a local IP address. Then in the eero app go to: Advanced settings > Reservations and Port Forwarding > add a reservation

After you’ve selected your device, it will always get assigned the IP address.

Hi, I was having a problem with port forwarding my Minecraft server and realized that the public ip that I can find by searching "what is my ip" on google is different then the external ip defined on my eero app. I tried to set the the DHCP external ip to static but then my wifi just goes out after I set it to static. Can you please tell me how to fix this?

This and other network connectivity problems can be resolved by assigning a static IP address

yea ik but like I said before when I set a static ip then my wifi shutsdown and stays offline. I tried to restart my router after setting a static ip but even then it would stay offline.
