Optimal Network Topology with FiOS, eero, ethernet switch

Hi folks. I need help designing the best / appropriate setup for connecting my new eero system (one 2nd-gen base unit and two 2nd-gen beacons) and an ethernet switch (not purchased yet, but seeking a 24-port gigabit option) to my Verizon FiOS ONT directly. The switch will be used to serve data to a computer, several TVs and a wireless access point (perhaps an eero beacon?) in a remote building on my property. Lots of questions about all of this, including if this even makes sense, but the primary one is sequencing: should I go with ONT > eero Base > switch > TVs/Computer/WAP, or ONT > switch > eero Base/TVs/Computer/WAP. I'm thinking option A since I assume the ONT does not provide DHCP server and related critical functions. Or does it? I've been searching the net all morning an cannot figure that out. I also assume the ONT does not provide any form of DMZ, QoS, Firewall, or critical security functions, thus the eero needs to be first after the ONT. Open to any and all thoughts on this. Thank you!

    Hi Jim,

Your first thought is the correct one :-) Go ONT -> Eero gateway -> switch -> everything else.

Assuming, of course, the the FiOS transceiver is like the one I have, which is to say totally dumb and basically a media converter. I take the Ethernet cable from the transceiver into the Eero, which I then feed into a switch. Everything else in the house (including the two additional Eero units) connect to that switch.

    Cheers!
