Nest Protect Connections
I just switched from a Netgear R8500 to the Eero Pro. My Nest thermostat connected to the new network without a problem but, noticed that the protects were not connected. Had to go through a whole ridiculous process to get them connected (had to remove all Nest devices from my account and then re-add doing the Protects first so they could join the network without using another Nest product to join.)
Nest app shows that the Protects are connected to WiFi but one protect is giving an indicator that it is offline. Protects did appear as connected in the Eero app but now have dropped off into the “previously connected” section with no IP assigned.
This is probably more of a Nest issue but, never had this issue with router. Is this possibly an issue because of the lack of two separate SSIDs for the 5 and 2.4 bands?

Did you find a fix to this? It keeps showing as recently connected on eero app and appearing offline in the best native app.

Try this. I figured it out for the thermostats. I beleive Nest Protect run only on 2.4 GHz. In troubleshooting area if the eero APP, select "My device won't connect" and then select "My device is 2..4 GHz only." Once you do this, it turns off 5GHz radio for 15 minutes and allows any 2.4 GHz only device to connect. Just need to remember this again of network goes down or power goes out. Kind of surprised that no one had this solution at the ready. Now they will. Thanks everyone who gave the solution a try. Any support folks on here might want to make sure they put this in their troubleshooting scripts.
