An application is stopping Chrome from safely connecting to this site
When I woke up this morning, I started receiving the following error when attempting to access a number of well-known websites such as amazon.com:
An application is stopping Chrome from safely connecting to this site
"Zscaler" wasn’t installed properly on your computer or the network:
- Try uninstalling or disabling "Zscaler"
- Try connecting to another network
NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID
After checking to ensure "Zscaler" was not installed on my PC, I researched it and found that eero is using this in advanced security. Since I am paying for advanced security, I would like to keep it on, but obviously I need to get to these sites.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Aaron

I’m sure it’s just a temporary issue. I would recommend disabling advanced security for now and try enabling it again in a few hours or tomorrow and see if the problem is resolved.

It probably is temporary, like life itself. Snarky aside, it seems zscaler has been having issues. I cancelled my subscription and turned off eero-secure. Now I can reach Amazon.com. Funny that Amazon was blocked given erro's relationship with them.

Thanks for raising this. eero Secure constantly categorizes new domains and occasionally there are false positives.
This morning the service inadvertently blocked d3ag4hukkh62yn.cloudfront.net which resulted in the blocking of Amazon.com. We are working with our partner to fix this issue and expect to have it removed in the next few hours.
While this won't be the last time we have a false positive, we are working to add an allow / block list feature that will allow you to allow specific websites with advanced security enabled.
I will update this thread once the issue is resolved.

This is resolved.

Thanks all! The issue resolved itself as expected a few hours after posting this.
