Issues with second Ethernet port on Eero 6 Pro
My ISP is Century Link and my Eero 6 Pro router works great. One of the two Ethernet ports has a cable coming from the Century Link router to Eero 6 Pro. The Pro pushes out an IP Address in the 192.168.4.x range. When I hook a laptop to the other Ethernet port on the Pro I get an invalid IP Address 169.x.x.x.
What can I do so that second Ethernet port pushes out a valid IP Address in the 192.168.4.x range?
Thank you for looking.

Sounds like you have two DHCP assigning devices on your network. Only one router should be assigning addresses, the other should be pass-through only. I typically see people taking their ISP modem/router combination and disabling the router (set it to pass-through only), then feeding their internet into their own router - in this case your eero. When I was on cable, I refused their hardware, bought a simple cable modem and fed the output into my eero. Clean, simple, and cheaper in the long run! Either way ONE device handing out addresses ONLY! Good luck!
