Eero fail registration

Hi,

I bought the eero mesh to replace my current wifi router, but having issue registering the eero device. The message says:

We found an issue. Check to see if your eero and modem are connected properly, then try again.

I've follow the steps in this article but no luck: https://support.eero.com/hc/en-us/articles/207613806-I-can-t-set-up-my-eero-eero-Pro-or-Beacon. Another thing I've tried to is to connect to a different port.

Please advice.

Thanks.

Ridgewayj For this error message try unplugging both the modem and the eero from power for at least three minutes, plug the modem in first, wait for it to boot, then plug in the eero.  Wait for the eero to get to the blue led (flashing or steady), give it a minute and try again.

If that doesn't do it, call support. https://support.eero.com/hc/en-us/articles/207376426-How-do-I-contact-eero-support-

You can also send us an email to support@eero.com and use the subject line "Community Followup - Found an issue setup error". We'll want the serial number for the eero.

      Ridgewayj

I was hoping to get those numbers via email, so we don't announce them to the world.  I have made a record of these two and removed the serial numbers from your post.

Both of those eero are owned by the ISP WoW and will not work without them authorizing them.  Where did you get these two eero from?

Apologize about the serial numbers. I purchased them off of e-bay they are new and seller said nothing about the isp WOW, but as I look at them they do have stickers on them that says property of WOW. Is there a solution?

      Thanks!

Ridgewayj Neither one of these eero are new, they were both used on previous networks.

You can give WoW a call to see if they will let you use these eero, but frankly your better option would be to return these, get refunds, as they are not as represented, they are used and unusable as they are, and purchase retail eero.
