Setup help please

Hey community please can you help, I'm trying to set up a leased line for the office and trying to make sense of the settings, I'm clearly not in IT. I have a newly installed "wires only" leased line from Openreach. They gave me a sheet with lots of IP addresses etc, and I need to set up my eero pro 6e. I understand I need to set it up with a static IP address, the fields in the eero network settings appear to be "ip address" "subnet mask" & "Router IP"

The IP address fields Openreach gave are below. (I removed most from below but included the ones I think I need)

WAN Subnet:

WAN Subnet Mask: /31

WAN IP: 212.139.229.61

WAN Default Gateway:

Routed IP's Network Number

Routed IP Mask

/30

Routed First Host

Routed Second Host

Routed Last Host

Routed Broadcast Address

My questions are -

1. For the "ip address" field do I use WAN IP: 212.139.229.60

2. The subnet field they have given is /31. Is this 255.255.255.254? The eero doesn't seem to like this format as it will not save.

3. Is the  "Router IP" the same as WAN IP but ending in 1 ie 212.139.229.1

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

  • I also had to set up an eero Pro 6e with static IP WAN today as well and I was able to make it work.

I also was confused by what "router ip" was but according to a post 2 years ago from the eerosupport reddit account its more commonly known as Gateway

So for the 3 fields eero wants:

IP address: A ip address within your range (so .61? )

    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.254  or  255.255.255.255

    Router IP: "WAN Default Gateway"

In addition, I did this set up from factory reset.
