Eero app gives strange "Connected to" info for wired devices
When I look at the details for a wired network device in the eero app, the app often gives me unexpected/incorrect information for which specific eero it’s connected to.
For example, I have two wired PCs in my home office, both of which are connected to a wired Ethernet switch. One of my eeros (the gateway, as it turns out) is also connected to that switch. But when I open the eero app and drill down to the device details for those PCs, the "Connected to" field shows a different eero in a completely different part of the house.
If it matters, I have four eeros in my house, and three of them are directly connected to my wired network. I'm using the iOS version of the eero app.
It’s not clear to me that it’s meaningful for a wired device to report to which eero it’s connected (since technically it's connected to all of the wired eeros), but if it does, it should give a useful answer.

Hi dglasser —
Thanks for reaching out!
By any chance, is the eero that your device is reporting to be connected to also connected to this same switch?

Jeff C. No, there are no other eeros connected to this particular switch. The eero that the devices are reporting being connected to is on a different floor and the opposite side of the house.
That said, I do have a somewhat complicated home network topology -- multiple in-wall RJ45 jacks with the opposite ends terminated in a wiring cabinet, which itself contains an Ethernet switch -- so unless the eero software is groveling pretty low down in the network stack, it might not be able to detect these things.
