Eero pro is limiting my internet

i have a arris TG2492lg model and if I test my internet speed wired and wireless is almost in 600 mpbs

the arris is in bride mode and I connect via cable to my brand new Eero pro.

then I used a wired from my Eero and mi laptop and I can only get 79 mbps I did the same test wireless from my Eero and the same speed.

So I don't understands why the Eero pro is limiting my internet connection even though it is getting 600 mpbs

any suggestions?

by the way I hace updated to the last version and also try unplugging the Eero for 30 segs but having the same outcome.

I contact support via email two days ago but no answered so far

Thanks in advance

Hey there, paolaorsini . This is an interesting situation that we'd certainly like to look further into for you. We apologize for the time it's taken to get back to you through email. We've been busier than we normally are due to all of the recent unexpected world events. You're welcome to send over another email to support@eero.com with the subject "Community Followup" so we can get eyes on this situation asap.

With that being said, it's very odd that your hardwired laptop is getting the same speeds as a wireless device. Troubleshooting the hardwired connection would be the best first step to take, as the speed issue sounds like it's happening right from the get-go. If you haven't already, try swapping out the ethernet cable between the eero and your laptop and give the speed test another go.

    Kindly,
    Kora, eero Community Team

Kora (eero Support) Thanks Kora, I thought that too, so I test the ethernet cable and change it just in case but same outcome.

The arris with the same cable give me 600 of speed, so this same cable I plugin to my eero pro, then with another ethernet cable (that I already test it with the arris) did the speed test and just keep getting up to 80 mpbs.

I cannot figure out my eero pro is truncating the bandwidth.

I did the test with ethernet cable just to be sure that the wireless is not the problem right? , but no, the eero that is given that bandwidth

Did you ever find a solution to this? I am having the same issue. 930mbs at hardwire and 100 If that at Beacons. 3 Beacons and 2 eero pros.

      NWfresh360 yes and no :)

I found out that my ethernet cable that i connect from my IP to my main eero was the cause of limiting the internet

so now my test speed from eero is the same that the IP provider is giving me. So good about that

however, if I test my phone via Speedtest I got really low speed (I am not sure if it is besucase my TV is connected directly to Ethernet and maybe is getting must of the bandwidth)

and also if a test in my room with the beacon I can only get top 120 mbps (is not bad) but now great as I expected (using Speedtest)

I was having a similar issue, with the Xfinity XB7 Gateway. After having 4 of those gateways fail (internal cooling fans failed causing fatal overheating), I stopped using Xfinity’s Gateway and now use theNetgear CM1000  cable modem, AND a new Ethernet cable, my speed issues disappeared.

Just an FYI for anyone else using the Xfinity XB7 Gateway, Xfinity has confirmed it has major cooling issues along with firmware issues. There is a new XB7 variant due out early 2021 to fix the hardware issues,  but no idea when they’ll fix the firmware issues.
