After update to 3.19.0 my Xbox ONE now has connection issues to the mesh. ALSO, IPv6 does not appear to work either.

Up until I got 3.19.0 pushed onto my mesh system, my Xbox One worked flawlessly with the mesh system. NOW, it has a difficult time connecting. Some times I have to assign an IP address, subnet mask, and gateway (wireless) and sometimes it MAY work with DHCP. This has been going on since that update. And it's getting to be frustrating. ALSO noted:

When I go into the ADVANCED settings in the eero app, and select DNS (as I wish to set my own DNS servers), the app CRASHES! EVERY TIME.

The Xbox will function with IPv6, however, it tells me that IPv6 isn't available, even though it is ENABLED in the APP.

When I go into the Xbox One settings, I can see it IS pulling an IP address. I've disconnected and reconnected the wireless network as well as ensured the password is correct. The fact that it gets an IP tells me that part is working. I've tried creating a reservation, and sometimes it may work. UPnP is also enabled.

Probably best to reach out to eero support for assistance. It seems like I saw at least one other person asking about a similar issue. It might be a bug or known issue that they will be equipped to help resolve.

cMoo92  Ok, so whatever occurred yesterday on XBOX Live was a one day anomaly, but this issue has been ongoing since the update. Simply put, XBOX one was working fine each and every day UNTIL this latest update. So, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's a duck, eh?

Well it seems XBOX Live had issues all day today into this evening. I'm seeing it working, and IPv6 does now appear to be working as well, As for the app bombing when I select DNS, that's still an issue.

QuantumRift for the issue with the app crashing, try deleting the app and reinstalling it. That process can resolve issues with any kind of mobile app.

cMoo92 I will try that - but even after the issues at Xbox Live cleared up, the Xbox is still having issues connecting to wifi - that is, this morning, I turned it on, and it said it was not connected to wifi. Then after I selected the network and entered the password, it would not pull an IP address for several minutes. Then when it did, it still could not connect to XBOX live.  I disabled uPnP, restarted the mesh, then reenabled it, and same thing. It has IPv4 problems and wont' do IPv6 at all..... argggghhh..looking at the eero app now, it shows the Xbox has an IP address and is connected via 5 GHz. I even made a reservation for it.

cMoo92 I tried that over an hour ago. When it says it is sending a verification code to my email, it never gets there (and yes it is the correct email address as I'm logged in here looking at it)....maybe I'm supposed to create a new account?...just tried and it won't; let me, says it already has an acocunt with my cellphone number.....This is exactly why I want a PC based application.

cMoo92 REINSTALLING the APP did NOT correct the problem of the app crashing when I select DNS settings in ADVANCED MODE.

Mysteriously, magically, deliciously, my Xbox is NOW working fine - and it appears I've had an update pushed out to my wifi.

I have been having upnp issues with 2 xbox ones on the same network since this update.  The only fix is to change the xbox one port selection every time you connect.  It's a pain.

Teamvernia Sorry, for the double up there. Yea, LOOK at software revision you have. I got a message this morning on my eero app that said I'd been updated to 3.0.1.36260.

      And now it magically works.

GO figure. I tried that (port selection and had no luck). I tried opening up the ports etc...but see what sofware version you have.

QuantumRift I already disconnected everything and went back to my trusty Netgear R7000.  I'm going to wait until an update happens and see how it goes.  If it's still broken, I'll likely just sell my eero package.  I'm pretty unhappy overall with it.

Seems like there is a problem with UPnP and 3.19. A group of people on the eero subreddit also are reporting the same problem. Moderate NAT type and a UPnP failed error on the Xbox. Seems like their UPnP “improvements” were quite the opposite... trying to figure out how to roll back the broken update now.

Delrey30 I had isues, as I said, until yesterday morning, when I opened the eero app and was greeted with the message that I had an "update" applied sometime during the night. 3.19 is the app version, isn't it? And 3.0.1.36260 is the firmware in the eero mesh system? The app is buggy as it crashes when I try to open DNS.That's one issue I have, and still have that 3.0.1.36260 is the version I found updated on the wifi system and that magically fixed my issues. Now NAT is OPEN and the Xbox works great.

Or it sure did yesterday and last night.

QuantumRift I’m still having issues. I forwarded ports and have an open Xbox NAT but now a Strict NAT on Modern Warfare. So weird

Yup same here.  Ports open and open nat on xbox but moderate on CoD.  I can't believe they aren't addressing this.

I just got eero devices installed in my house after moving to fiber internet. My xbox is also encountering a similar issue. I initially had a double nat detected, and strict nat type. The double NAT detected message has disappeared, but I still have a strict NAT and a UPnP not successful error. Further, even though I enabled ipv6 through the eero app, my xbox only shows ipv4.

Any news on the issue? Will forwarding ports work instead of trying ipv6? Thanks.

mpink3 Hi MP...Yea I has having such a frustrating time, that I'd never shut off the Xbox after I got it (somehow, magically and deliciously, connected).... eero secure is active (i tried off and on)....right now it says that I have eeroOS 3.19.0. It's been working for  a while now (a few weeks), and I know my Xbox did do an interation of updates, after which, it all seemed to start working fine. I turn it on now and it connects and everything is copacetic. Go figure.

The Eero‘s Wifi is having trouble with some devices trying to connect to the 5GHz. There’s few solution right now:

    1. You can disable the UPnP going to Settings —} Advanced —} UPnP —} and turning it off.

    2. You can puase your 5GHz signal from your Eero app to get connect the devices that are having trouble by going to Settings —}  Troubleshooting —} My device won’t connect —} Temporarily pause 5GHz.

Hope this can help you guys.
