Device not reachable after switched to another station

Hi,

I'm running Eero Pro. The base station is called Family Room, and one of the other stations is called Bedroom.

There is a laptop that usually connects to Family Room, and I typically ssh to the laptop from a desktop which is also connected to Family Room.  Everything works fine, except every once in a while, the laptop gets automatically switched to Bedroom, and my ongoing ssh connection gets dropped.  That is not surprising though a bit annoying. The real problem is that I can no longer reach the laptop from the desktop once this happens. The laptop seems to have a good network connection. It also retains the same IP address. I can reach out to the Internet from the laptop. It's just not reachable from another device connected to another station.

This happens a couple times a day. Once it happens, I have to physically move the laptop to somewhere close to Family Room, turn Wifi off and back on, so it connects back to Family Room.

My question is, before we have a fix for the reachability issue, is there a way to "pin" a device to a station?
