Compatibility problem with WPA3 beta

Currently running v7.0.1-64 using an eero Pro gateway, an eero Beacon, and six connected devices. The eero Beta feature is active for Local DNS caching. Other Beta selections are currently turned off. Internet services are provided by Sonic.

Recently, I’ve had a problem connecting an Apple iPhone 5c to my home network through eero when the Beta WPA3 option is engaged. However, the 5c continues to connect successfully to a Netgear router at another location and to a personal hotspot set up on my iPhone 15.

It appears that when the eero WPA3 feature is selected, WPA3 becomes a requirement for connection rather than an available option.  Is this your intention?

Of course, the 5c is an obsolete model.  It is currently running iOS version 10.3.3 (the final release) and does not have a SIM card installed. However, it continues to stream music to my stereo system through Apple Play, and it can use a local network connection to download (licensed) video features for plane flights.

I hope eero can continue to provide connection support with this model — and other models that may not have WPA3 capabilities.
