Eero 6 node placement - speed drops
I initially purchased a eero 6 router/extender package. After many hours on the phone with technical support scenario testing it was suggested/recommended I move to a setup of one gateway router and a router node instead of the extender. This was positioned as the solution, as I experience slow speeds in the bedrooms of my house (bedrooms down a hallway from gateway) which I have been trying to solve. I have made this change and still experience download speed in the bedroom via the node at half of what I receive when connected and close by the gateway router. I have spent hours doing placement testing/speed tests of the node in numerous places. Only when the node is placed within direct line of sight of the gateway and (within 30 feet) do I experience the lower speed drops (20% vs. 50%). However, keeping the node in that area, the devices in the bedroom connect to the gateway at slow speed. Am I the only person that has issues with this? Does buying another node do anything for me?
