I definitely wouldn’t put that in a PC, but the Beacon isn’t a PC, so I’m not sure that’s a valid argument/example. The way they’ve engineered the cooling system of the Beacon seems to work just fine. Before I moved, I had a Beacon in my garage. During the summer, the garage air temp would get into the triple digits, but it never hurt the Beacon.

cMoo92 this is my 2nd one it's at around 115degrees.

The last one started melting the housing.

I don't exactly see what the problem is. Is your beacon shutting off due to overheating?

thatsthequy yes, its slowing itself down to keep up and cool down, yet it cannot cool itself if its just got a slap of aluminum on it. I've repaired, worked on and serviced thousands of devices, this sad excuse for a cooling element Is unacceptable.

Freakinkat YT It works fine.  They're built to run hot and have outstanding heat dissipation.   You can talk to support and see if they've ever overheated, but it's rare.

txgunlover I honestly dont doubt the engineering team that built it, I'm fairly certain my units are just janky. BUT I'm still hard pressed to ask why they're heat brick, because its not a heatsink, but a tiny fan would make a world of difference, yes I understand that changing the design would be an extremely costly thing to do. What I would believe for them to do is just hopefully take my advice and properly vent and cool them. If their able to work in high heat, awesome, but imagine now if they were to be cooled so as not to suffer as much and they're life span plus reliability would be off the charts! I've tested the units when I put my own custom cooling to them, they were nowhere near at their peak when cooled. They're was so much room for the devices to multitask without tripping the thermal sensors

Freakinkat YT Since they're not experiencing any span of life or performance issues, no changes are needed.

Well It would seem that some forger who I am and who I work with. ALLOW me to show you what negligence is and yeah, that BS about  No complaints, ur kidding me right? I'd like to think so, anyways I'll just contact corperate and a certain government agency that specializes is dangerous products. Sorry but that's what they are. Also fair to mention EERO hides behind Grande communications so that's mainly why you wont find many complaining here!
