Eero Secure - A Delay reporting statistics (or filters)
I signed up for Eero Secure (not plus) about an hour ago.
I setup a profile to include my wired Mac and my iPhone.
The good news, Ad Blocking seems to be working.
Unfortunately, if I open a bad website (e.g. Adult), the website loads perfectly. Not what I want to see. Also, if I open the eero app, there are ZERO statistics for eero Secure (no blocks, etc)
Is this normal behavior?
I'm running AT&T Fiber, Double-NAT'd to the eero router. Apple Homekit enabled. I haven't been brave enough to go back to Passthrough on the AT&T router since last year's issues.
OK, after about 90 minutes, it looks like the Adult content filter is now working. All the bad sites are being blocked. Yay!!
Now do I have to wait a day for statistics?
catmandad - welcome to the eero Secure family! The blocking toggles should work basically instantaneously (note: sometimes clearing your cache speeds it up). As for the stats, they are populated every hour. I hope this helps. Definitely reach out if you have further questions.
Yes, I now see some stats. Glad to know it is a 1 hour delay.
I really wish that for the "Spyware" or "Phishing" numbers, there was some detail. Anything. A report, a URL, whatever that would help me identify what might be triggering that counter inside the app. Otherwise, the number just is making me anxious.
We don't comment on timelines on items that are on the roadmap, but I want you to know that you and other customers have been heard on this front and that we are working to make this happen in a secure and private manner.
How do I also report sites that have popup (e.g. "You need to update your Flash Player") showing up from an ad? This happened at 9to5mac.com. I didn't click through it, but I don't want that type of junk showing up. Thanks!
