Eero App not able to connect to eero network

Eero app from both iOS and Android are not able to connect to the network. I had an old network with the same name, the eero base and beacons were replaced with exactly the same name and password. Now when the app comes up, it says the network is down and the eero connection is down. I am not able to monitor the network. Tried downloading on iPad and android. I need to since the network has slowed down, when I connect directly to modem I get 800+ Mbps (since I bought 1gbps hookup) but when I test from eero (even with direct ethernet) I get only 100 Mbps. The technicians told me that it was because all the connected devices are sucking up the wifi bandwidth. Not able to verify since I cannot run my app to discover the network. The wifi network is fine (albeit slower by around 10 times), I am doing all this at the eero base hub itself (not at the beacons)
