MyCloud [NAS] no longer connecting
Got an old WD MyCloud which is no longer connecting to the network. Looking in the eero app it's listed as being recently on the network but not now.
Anyone had issues with getting NAS to connect using eero? I know the WD support are going to be baffled about not using a "real" router so want to make sure there's nothing to try on the eero before calling them.

I don’t have any experience with the WD MyCloud so I can’t help you there, but in regards to contacting WD support, you don’t need to mention that you’re using a “mesh network” or anything like that. That very likely has nothing to do with the problem plus it will just confuse them (as you know). And you are using a real router—you just happen to have additional access points (other eeros) on your network.
My guess is that it’s a hardware issue (with the WD product) and not eero related.

I have two WD my cloud NAS here with eero gen.1 and they work without any problem. A NAS connects via ethernet to the network and unless you are having remote access issues (port forwarding in eero) the NAS should announce itself to the network (ARP). I would power cycle the NAS to see if that connect to the network. Is it DHCP connected or static IP

My wired WD MyCloud device was working fine on the network until something happened that I had to rename my SSID. I had cloned the name from the previous network SSID so I didn't have to reconnect but it eero tech support suggested I rename it because possibly one of the connected devices that was connected to the same named SSID was corrupting things.
Anyway, once I renamed and reconnected all my devices it works great with the exception of the wired WD MyCloud [NAS] device which was no longer discoverable on the network. I have a Xfinity/Comcast combo wireless router modem. If I connect wirelessly to the Xfinity/Comcast wirelessrouter modem, it works and I can see the device.
But when I reconnected back to the eero, it was lost. So there is some setting in the eero that needs to be changed to allow the wired WD MyCloud [NAS] to be discovered but I have looked in every advanced setting and nothing that I have changed will do the trick.
I can access the settings of the WD MyCloud through a browser using its IP address 10.0.0.18/UI but it's not accessible unless I bypass eero which is not what I want to do.
