Why is my new Eero 6 router uploading so much data?

I just got an Eero 6 (only a week old) and I noticed very sporadic slow upload speeds. My Netgear wireless speeds are 400 down/20 upload, my Eero wireless speeds are 400 down / upload can vary from 6, 10, 15. What was very strange is... I checked network activity and noticed on the first day i set up my new Eero's main router had used up 30+GB upload (crazy right). Note I only have 1 test devices on the new wireless network, which is an iPhone. I checked the activity on the iPhone and its only uploaded less than a GB. Ive been monitoring the main router upload and its is still on the high side maybe approx 3-6GB upload. Anyone else seeing this type of upload activity? Why is Eero uploading so much data?

I’m having weird stuff happening also. Insane amounts of upload. So much that it shouldn’t even be possible with my plan. My internet connection is only 10Mbps for upload

Mlee I see the same thing.  And it’s always an iPhone that shows as uploading ridiculous amounts of data.   At speeds higher than what my connection supports.

We are experiencing the same issue. Two iphones on our eero6 network are uploading ridiculous amounts of data. One an iphone 13 has done 97.3GB  so far this week and another iphone 8 has done 222.7GB!

I ended up doing the same.  No more issues for me.

Is there any update or resolution of this issue?  I'm having this issue as well and can confirm (using PingPlotter) that spikes in data uploads by iOS devices is causing significant network noise and ultimately lost packets, see attached

I don’t know… but same here… it is random and insanely high amounts of data.

Has anyone found a root cause and/or solution ?

Same issue it is driving me mad! It has burned through our isp’s data allowance. Any solution. Out there?
