Conflict between Pro and Eero units

I had previously purchased 3 eero pro units.  One of these is the gateway.  I recently purchased 3 regular eero units to allow for more reliable WiFi in other parts of the house.  But I seem to be having more instability in the whole system now.  It almost seems the the units run into signal conflicts where internet devices aren't sure which eero device to connect to.  There have been several times when I have now had to re-start the gateway to re-establish internet for the whole system.  I have checked, and it is not a problem with my ISP.  Any thoughts?

  • Add one at a time, run it for a few days and see if you need another... if so, add another... too many can make devices hesitant to roam...

  • Interesting - what do you mean by "hesitant to roam"?  My problem is also the system seems to be more unstable with more devices.

      kevinjan Instead of going from 3 to 6, go to 4 and see if the stability returns...

  • my problem is I have one bedroom with crappy WiFI.  I thought putting an eero device there would help.
