My girlfriend’s parents have an overkill small business wifi solution at home. 

The setup is Modem -> Aruba 505H -> Aruba 2930F.

The wifi performance is mediocre at distance. I suggested an Eero. Ideally, they would buy another AP, but it needs to be wired via Ethernet, and is not super feasible.

To avoid causing them any issues, I connected the Eero to the 505H directly.  Everything worked great! The eero was providing network coverage all over the house and speeds that were near perfect. Then, some 8 hours later, everything stopped. The 505H was not providing Ethernet to even another wired device.

1. Why did this happen?
2. Can someone suggest how to connect the eero? I was thinking of connecting it to the 2930F and maybe creating a VLAN. 

I’m a bit over my head here. I have a background in software, but not networking with these commercial grade parts. My goal here is really just to get decent wifi from the eeros and not mess up the entire business network.
