wifi disconnects, or no-internet with Moto Z2 Play

I just got an Eero Pro along with a regular Eero that is being used as an "extender" wirelessly.  All of the devices in my house appear to be connecting and working correctly, except for my Moto Z2 Play cell phone.  It will work for awhile, and then disconnect from the wifi network for a period of time.   When it does eventually reconnect it typically hangs on trying to obtain an IP address, or if it does obtain an IP address it says "no internet connection".   

Unplugging the regular Eero extender has gotten it working again immediately, as well as rebooting the Eero Pro, but after awhile, same problem.  

Wifi on this phone works fine everywhere else that I go.  Anyone else having similar issues?  

I'm on the latest firmware on my Eero devices.

      After some further experimenting, it seems that my phone mostly didn't work when it was connecting to the 2nd Eero.  The 2nd Eero was connected back to the first Eero with wireless backhaul.    Connecting the 2nd Eero with a wired connection instead seems to have resolved the problem with my Moto Z2 Play.    Not a great fix, as I would expect it to work in all of Eero's supported configurations, but it's a workaround I guess.
