Orbi user here.. should I move to Eero?

Hi. So I currently have an Orbi Router + 1 Satellite. Although it provides solid performance, I still have spotty coverage in my kitchen and garden (for a camera). I need a third satellite. I could either buy another Orbi or get 3 Eero pros for more or less the same price. Eero’s are smaller and can be integrated into Homekit which I’m heavily invested in.

Netgear likes to tout on its site how much faster Orbi is over Eero.. but is that much speed really necessary? I currently get a solid 210Mbps which is the highest internet I get and need. I also have 22 connected devices and I’m not a ‘power user’. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

    Hello JonL77 ,

Making the switch to eero could be a really good idea. With the speeds you are mentioning and the HomeKit useage I would suggest you stick with eero Pros. You don't need the eero 6 generation as the normal eeros will work perfectly for you and your requirements. Take a look at the link below about eero placement and let me know if you have any additional questions.

So did you switch? I love my Orbi and since I switched to HawaiianTel which uses the Eero system, my internet is not consistent and I can’t even install a second eero on the other side of the house.
