Update 6.5 on eero (2nd-gen) - serious connection drop problem

My Surface Book 3 (Intel AX201, latest drivers) keeps dropping the connection after the 6.5 update. My setup is a standard (automatic mode) 3 AP eero (2nd gen). 

Working from home I depend on the WiFi connection and calls (Teams) now go silent for a couple of second every minute or so. I can easily repro the problem using a continuous ping.

Laptop didn't have any problem before 6.5 and works perfectly fine with a backup WiFi connection provided by my Fritz router.

Waited for 6.5.1 to see if it solved the problem but it's still there. Tried restarting eero network several times and changing laptop wifi settings, no luck.

Can Eero provide a workaround/estimate for problem resolution?

    As an update I tried to swap the VDSL Router connected to the eero and the problem disappeared.

    Previous router was working fine before 6.5 so it's probably some kind of interaction between updated eero and the router but at least I can use WiFi now :)
