SQM or Optimize for conference and gaming

Hello., l just hooked my Eero pro system up. Have 400 down and 20 upload. On spectrum in upstate NY. The Eero replaced my Iqrouter which was fantastic at controlling the bufferbloat. It was perfect for online competitive gaming but it didn't have the coverage my family has grown to need. The Eero does well enough to allow all other functions online but i have constant lag spikes into the hundreds  of ms. Does it take time for the Eero to learn my network and adjust? Or after 2 days, is this the best that I can expect? Ibamnuo to date on software updates. I do love the coverage and the 3 units allow for all PC's and game consoles to be hardwired. I was very surprised and delighted with the bandwidth the other 2 units received and put out, especially wired to those units. Made a big difference.

Optimize for Conferencing and Gaming, formerly known as Smart Queue Management (SQM), intelligently shapes how wifi traffic is queued to reduce latency and limit the amount of bandwidth certain devices use. For busy networks, this can improve the quality of voice, video calls, and online gaming.
