I swear I am DONE with Eero
I have 5 homes with Eero Pro routers in each one. The number of routers in each home varies from 2 to 4 depending on the square footage. I have spent a literal fortune on Eero already and all I have gotten is poor WiFi speeds if not connected to an Ethernet connected unit, inconsistent app output, 2 burned out power adapters, and a lot of double-talk from Eero support. Why, you ask, am I still using Eero?.? Only 2 reasons: reliability and Eero Secure+. Otherwise I would have kicked Eero to the curb long ago!

UPDATE: 3 Eero Pro routers in my primary residence have been replaced with 3 Tp-link X60 WiFi 6 routers in Access Point mode that are connected to a Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine with ALL security features maxed out and its internal WiFi turned off. Browsing and app performance is notably better than the previous all-Eero setup.

The x60 mesh access points are configured exactly like the Eero Pro units: one Ethernet connected unit and 2 wireless units, all to cover appx 4500 square feet. The Ubiquiti Dream Machine is connected to a 1 gigabit Comcast Connection.
I was getting speeds of 100-150 Megabytes per second per device when connected to a wireless access point.
