Eero Pro (2nd gen) vs Zyxel Multy X

Hi Gang.

I have been a longtime Eero fan and own the Eero pro system (2nd gen) in my home. I never had any issues with the system and coverage was good.

Recently though, I tried the Multy X by Zyxel. One thing I noticed is that I am getting much faster wireless speeds across the mesh network than I did with Eero.

I still love Eero and the team but my question is this, which is the better system for coverage and speed?

I have a 500mbps download 20 upload internet plan.

I had the Multy X in use for awhile, and it's now sitting on a shelf, as I went back to Eero.  The Multy IS faster, because it's got a dedicated backhaul band and in fact has the same specs as the Orbi RBK50 system (1733 mb/s dedicated backhaul), but I had stability issues with mine and every couple of days it would drop all wireless clients and I'd have to reboot it.  Opened a ticket with support and they told me it was my Google Home devices.  After a firmware update I had connectivity issues, and tried resetting and reinstalling my Multy system (one main unit and one satellite), and I could not get the satellite to properly sync with the gateway unit.  The Multy app is also terrible and really, really slow.  Yes, it is faster when it's working, but too many issues for me (I had stability issues with Orbi, too, which is what drove me to Multy X), and the painful app that doesn't do a whole lot isn't worth the aggravation.  Eero is a bit slower, but still faster than most non-dedicated backhaul systems, but Eero is also VERY stable and it works with all my 100+ devices with no issues.  I get 70-90% of my paid 300 Mb/s speed at the satellite Eeros (all of my Eeros are the tri-band units, not using Beacons).  Multy will measure backhaul connection speeds between Multys, and mine was never better than the low 400's Mb/s.
