Feature Request: Enable integration with HomeAssistant for Device Tracking
There is probably a 0% chance this will even be considered by the eero team, but I"ll suggest it anyways.
Many routers and access points work with integration with a Home Automation open source project called Home Assistant. Examples of which devices are supported:
- Ubiquiti
- DDWRT
- OpenWRT
- Netgear
- AsusWRT
- Cisco
- Aruba
- ActionTec
Basically what this is, is that the integration allows HomeAssistant to know the location of a device based on when it connects to the network. This allows some neat home automation scenarios like "When HomeAssistant detects I'm home, turn on the Lights and play the Sonos".
This is clearly a geeks features, but these little things matter and help lock in.

I use SmartThings all over the house (40ish devices now I think) and it does something similar. Eero 1.0 had some issues dealing with all the noise, but Eero 2.0 has been very solid. I've never used Home Assistant (researching now), but I'm all for ANY kind of integration; especially if it means I get to buy new tech :D

Following this to see if Eero provides anything official. In the meant time, I'll check out the community work:

This would be fantastic to have.
