Eero, PC, Hue Smart Bridge. How do I connect 3 cables with only 2 ports?

Setting up the Google Home was easy, setting up the Mini was even easier. Buying a Hue smart lighting system on Black Friday was also easy.

After hitting the "buy now" button I realized my Eero base has 2 ethernet ports. Both in use. Cox Cable modem & PC.

How do I make this work on a non-existent budget? (I may have gone a bit too nuts on the Amazon Black Friday Hue sales)

Derp. Just realized there are ports on the other units as well. After owning the system for about 2 years. Embarrassing.

Move along. Nothing to see here. 😂

  • Hi  DonnaDowling

Glad you were able to get this all figured out! For future reference, should you ever need additional Ethernet ports, a pretty inexpensive option is adding an Ethernet switch to your network. These can range anywhere from ~$10 to $50+.

When using an Ethernet switch, you would connect the switch to your eero via Ethernet, and then connect your other wired devices to the switch.

Here is one that I use personally: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/tp-link-5-port-10-100-1000-mbps-gigabit-ethernet-switch-black/3604375.p?skuId=3604375

    I hope this helps!
