Device assignment

Is there a way to assign a device to a specific pod? I have two pods fairly close to each other but one pod has all the devices connected to it causing that pod to be overwhelmed and slowing down some pf the devices.

  • If by Pod you mean an eero, no.  That's not how Wifi works.  A client chooses what AP it connects to, not the AP.

  • The eero came with three pods, the devices switch between pods depending which is closer. I would like to keep certain devices connected to specific pods to not overwhelm one pod.

  • Ok, the add on devices is what I’m referring to as “pods”. Sorry if that one term throws my question off. But if you're (txgunlover) not understanding what im asking then Ill wait for someone else to reply. I feel you're being a little closed minded or not attempting to understand the original question. But thank you for the feedback.

    • Juamartin228 You cannot assign a client to a particular eero from an eero or the eero software.  Clients decide what AP (eero) they connect to.

    • Juamartin228 Also, how many devices are you worried about?  I have over 130+ all the time connected to 4 eero pro 6's.
