10 Gigabit Ethernet
ISPs are starting to offer multiple Gigabit speeds; it's getting time for Eero to start offering 10 Gbps wired network speeds.
+1. It's not just support for multiple gigabit internet connections (which is still a bit of a luxury, depending on where you live), but also support for 10 Gbps connections on any network. I can see a world where devices on your own network will communicate at high speeds. I have already acquired a local server for my network with a 10 Gbps ethernet port. My next purchase will be a NAS with 10Gbps ethernet, and I'll connect them through an unmanaged switch with 10Gbps ports. Even if every device can't communicate with the server and NAS at 10 Gbps, it'd be really nice for Eero to be part of my network's 10Gbps devices.
I would definitely buy an Eero with 10 Gbps ethernet ports (even at a price premium) to facilitate 10Gbps wired network communications, even if we're still limited by other wireless network throughput.
