Mixed connectivity - additional unit?

Hi
Currently, I have 3 eero pro units in use in two buildings (1,2,3).
1 and 2 are wired in building A. 3 is connected wirelessly in building B. I'm considering buying 4th eero. Can I use a wired connection for the 4th unit? I know each eero has 2 network ports, so in theory, this should work. However, Id like some assurance before investing more money.

Regards

Artur

  • Hello Artur ,

Yes you can wire in the 4th eero to the 3rd eero. Keep in mind that the 4th eero will be limited by the connection strength and speed that the 3rd eero is receiving from the 2nd eero.

  • Buildings are only about 10 meters apart (quite close). Additionally, Units 2 and 3 are in visual contact by the windows(no obstructions), so wireless connectivity is excellent.
    Thank you for the confirmation.

  • I just wanted to let you know that the 4th eero unit works very well. At first, it connected to 3rd one wirelessly, and after a while, it switched to wired.
