eero Built-in doesn't show a button

I have 3 echo devices that are eero built-in compatible and after I did the integration with amazon in the discovery option of the app, I can't see the Built-in button it only shows the smart home hub, the voice assistant and easy setup. What should I do to make it work

  • First time I installed my Eero devices was while I was living in the USA and then I moved to Venezuela and the two Eero devices I have works perfect here except now with the Eero built-in feature that can't activate despite that I have 3 Eero-built-in devices working and on-line

  • Hi Clauserg

I would give eero support a call (number is in eero app->Settings->Troubleshooting) so we can get a look at the network and see what possible issues might be there.

Here are some of the regular causes we see for Echo's not showing up:

    • The Echo might not be a compatible version (check https://eero.com/eero-built-in in the section Which Alexa smart speakers are compatible...)
    • The Echoes might need a firmware update
    • The Echoes are attached to a speaker group
    • The network is outside of the US and Canada (it is currently only available in those two regions, we do want to get it expanded to others as soon as possible)
    • The network is bridged

Michael_eero_support Hello Michael, thanks so much for your reply... Of all the causes you listed in your reply.. the only one that applies is that this EEROs are outside of the US.. The echo device es compatible with Eero built-in, it is not in a speaker group (although that is an unacceptable limitation), it is updated to the latest version, and my network is not bridged although I would like to know what do you mean as a network being bridged?

    • Clauserg In order for this to work the eero cannot be in Bridge mode.  The eero has to be running its DHCP router.

Michael_eero_support So the only thing I don't comply with, is that the eero devices are not located within the US or Canada... although I don't understand the legal issues of why a location would limit my system to expand my mesh wifi network using other Amazon devices.... because technical issues are out of the equation in this case

  • When will Eero built in be available in Ireland (EU)?

  • Yes, it would be nice to use the eero-built in feature also here in Finland (also part of EU)...
