Will eero reach backyard shed?

Hi,

I have a backyard shed made out of brick approx. 15ʻ away from the main home also made of brick, will the mesh be able to reach into it?

  • This depends on where your devices are located.  Maybe if both eeros were in their respective windows so they could have the most direct line of sight to each other...  If you needed to I bet you could mount the shed eero in a waterproof box on the exterior of the shed to get the best wireless connection.  Manual says two eeros can connect wirelessly up to 50 feet in perfect conditions.

I live in a 3rd floor condo and was able to create a wifi connection for my car in the basement garage.  There was no way the eeros would connect wirelessly so I ran a cat 6 cable from my condo eero to another eero downstairs in the storage cabinet in front of my car.  I have full speed connectivity.  I'm sure if you could bury an ethernet cable from your home to your shed you'd have a bulletproof connection inside the shed.  You can get 30 feet of direct burial cat 6 wire for $30 on Amazon, or use a conduit to protect the wire.
