Guest Network- no internet [Static IP]

My Guest Network allows guests to connect, but there is no internet on the connection.

Our network is a combination of Eero Pro 6 and Eero Pro models. We have a Static IP setup and have a defined DHCP range on the standard Wifi network The Gateway unit is an Eero Pro 6. All our on latest fw 6.5.0...but the issue started with previous fw somewhere around v 6.1.x

We have tried all the obvious solutions, resetting the Eero, rebuilding the network, etc. and still no internet on Guest network. We have tried iOS devices, Android, Mac OS and Windows PC's...all get the same results, they connect to Guest Network, but  have no internet.

Standard Wifi works just fine, only the guest network has issues.

    Hello digitalfx ,

Thank you for reaching out to us and welcome to The Community! Also, thank you fo sharing the troubleshooting you have done so far. Lets try changing the DNS settings next. Goto Settings -> Network Settings -> DNS then change it to custom DNS. We can test with Google DNS so use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. After setting up the custom DNS, run another test and let me know the results so we can continue to troubleshoot or know if that helped resolve the behavior.

sorry see that I need to turn off Secure+.

switching to Google DNS seems to do the trick. Any idea why my ISP DNS isn’t working though?

    Update:

switched back to ISP DNS and all works great. Then re-enabled Secure+ features and I no longer have internet on Guest only

Hi - can I plus one on this. I contacted the eero support on email about this and they couldn’t or wouldn’t help me - just told me to phone a US phone number when I’m based in the UK.

I have the same issue, and thanks to this managed to get the guest network working by overriding DNS on each device to be Google’s DNS (which also means I can leave eero secure on by changing dns on device ).

however this is not a fix just a workaround. For me this started with 6.5.0 as our guests have had no trouble until then.

please can there be a ticket logged to investigate this as an eero defect. I’ll follow this thread to keep updated on any replies here, and happy to provide any info about my network to help too.

I have the same issue.  I figured out that my guest network devices aren't online and the timing occurred when 6.5.0 was automatically installed last night.  I have secure +.  How do you turn all of it off?  This seems like a fairly bad bug.

The Guest network can’t get out to the internet when using.  It is connected via eithernet.
